“‘Automatic’ is the eighth release on Percue Records, the independent label NEXUS founded in 2025. Percue was built as a platform rather than a house style, a place where a record is judged on whether it holds up on a floor and on a record.‘Automatic’ is the clearest case so far: one song, two readings of it, neither treated as the lesser version.
